CCS V5.1 RC1 Won't accept Dec. 2011 license

I downloaded CCS V5.1 RC1 from the download site (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS) and the temporary license file found on the same page. When I went through the License Setup dialogs, everything seemed to proceed very nicely, but I still have only 26 days left on my evaluation period. And since I can't get any pricing information on CCS V5.1, I'm having a hard time getting off of CCS V3.3. How do I apply this license? How do I find out what CCS V5.1 costs?

Hi Daryl,

I am assuming you first activated the time-based eval license first, then tried using the temporary license file. CCS will still continue to use the eval license until that expires and then switch over to the temp license.

So 26 days from now it will kick over into the second license? And thanks for the information on pricing. I'm surprised it's not (at least it doesn't seem to be) listed in the eStore. How do I order it? (I don't think I'm quite as dumb as this sounds. I think it would be fair to expect it to be found here: https://estore.ti.com/Software-Development-Tools-C10.aspx?s=Name%20ASC&p=0).

Remember that CCSv5.1 has not yet been released. Once it is officially released, it should appear in the e-store.

Thanks! Somehow I had the notion that 5.0 was released, and 5.1 was the RC. I appreciate the feedback.

Actually 5.0 has been released but that was a limited release for a small subset of customers.

5.1 is the main mass-market release for everyone but we often refer to it as simply CCSv5. No wonder people get confused!
