Code Composer Studio V 5.1.0 license

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3517

We are using Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio V 5.1.0 on our evaluation Am3517 EVM (TMDSEVM3517).  Our license is about to run out and we were wondering how to go about getting a new license.

My understanding is the version 5.0 is in beta.  We would like to use that version and also be able to use version 4.x.  How can we get a license for both?

Thank you!

  • HI Shelly,

you are correct v5 now requires a different license staring with RC1 that just came out.

You have a couple basic options

    1) Wait until Nov 1, when we are expecting that you will be able to purchase a v5 license.  In the mean time continue to use your v4 license or the temporary v5 license available on the wiki.

    2) Renew/purchase a v4 license.  This comes with a 1 year subscription which would allow you to upgrade to a v5 version.

I hope this helps and clarifies!

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
