Code Composer Automation Issue

Hi,

I am using TMS320F2812 processor , Code composer version 3.1 and scripting utility 1.5. I am trying to automate tests using the scripting utility. Facing issues with the TargetEvalExpression API. This API Seems to evaluate the expression only where the variable is used even though the variable is declared as extern.

Please help.

Hello,

TargetEvalExpression allows you to evaluate GEL expressions. GEL will only be able to evaluate variables on the target that are in debug scope at the time it is called.

Thanks Ki-soo Lee for the reply. Could you Elaborate on the debug scope ? i am bit confused over the debug scope and global scope of the variables.

By Debug Scope Ki means that the variables must be valid at that time, such as a local variable currently on the stack or a global variable. Local variables that are not in the current stack frame are not part of the debug scope.
