  • Hi Fred,

what type of license were you using?   Did you purchase one or was it a free license for use with the hardware you have?  You can look here to help you find out as well.

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Licensing_-_CCS

Please let us know as the answer will be partially dependent upon that.  Also, what CCS version where you going to use on the new computer?  Were you going to migrate to v5?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa:

It's a free license when i purchase a hardware demo from LSD.

CCS version is v4, don't need to migrate to V5.

    Best  Regards!

  • Hi Fred,

what hardware (emulator and target/evm) are you using?  Did CCS ask you to point it to a license/select a license?  If so, what did you select?  It is true there some evms that can freely be used with CCS.  The XDS100 emulator for example also does not require a license.

There are many detail here, but please let us know and hopefully we will point you to the correct next step.

  • Fred,

go to www.ti.com/myregisteredsofware on that site you will see all of your software activations.    You can click on the one for CCS and select manage, you will be able to email yourself the license or in this case since you are running on a new PC you will want to rehost the license.

  • Hi John:

I have a account with the email fred.wang@serialsystem.com, the email is belong to company, now it is cancelled.

I use the old license to apply for license file with the email- fred.wang@serialsystem.com , so i can not see the relative information now.

I only have the licese code in hand. how to do for next step?

    Fred.

  • Fred,

If your email address has changed you are going to need to create a new MyTI account with your new email address.  Once you have done that you can contact ccs_license_file_help@list.ti.com   Provide them with your old license file and email address and your new email address and they should be able to help you get the old license released so that you can associate it with your new MyTI account and rehost it for your new computer.

    Regards,

    John
