CCSv5.1 Profiler

This is a continuation of my previous post on the same subject (for some reason, I am no longer able to reply to that post).

I have installed CCSv5.1 (5.1.0.08020) and then I installed the MCSDK (02_00_03_15).  After the installation I noticed that the profiler was missing from the tools menu.  From my previous post I learned that there is a conflict between CCSv5.1 and the MCSDK; apparently both of them include the multi-core system analyzer (MCSA).  One solution to this problem is to uncheck the MCSA box when installing the MCSDK.  However, if you have already installed CCSv5.1 and the MCSDK with MCSA enabled, is there a way to uninstall just the MCSA within the MCSDK (and thus get the profiler functionality back)?  I know I can uninstall everything and start over but I was hoping to avoid this for other team members.  Thanks.

  • Hi Jim,

I have the following instructions from development for you, so please let us know if they help.  Also see the attached screenshot.  Hopefully this time this message gets to you!  If you have forum issues like that, one thing is to try a different browser if available.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

The MCSDK installer by default installs the System Analyzer (aka MCSA 1.0 – MultiCore System Analyzer). However the System Analyzer included in MCSDK is intended for CCS5.0 (since CCS5.0 did not include the System Analyzer) and is not compatible with CCS5.1 (CCS5.1 already includes the System Analyzer).

If installing MCSDK on top of CCS5.1 you should uncheck MCSA 1.0 from the MCSDK installer and all will be fine.

  • Hi Lisa,

I can not see your reply.  Is something wrong with the forum server?
