compilation error of RBIT instruction on cortex-A8

Hi,

Iam using Beagle board Rev C3with CCS version 4.0.2, CG tools version 4.6.1, compiler TMS470 for cortex A8 device.

The following instruction is giving compilation error

RBIT r4, r3

The same instruction works fine on RVDS. Is it the problem with the CCS tools or with the instruction?

Chandrakala,

This is a known bug and has already been fixed. The next release to contain the fix will be the 4.9.2 version of the compiler. It is scheduled to be released later this month. The instruction will be assembled correctly in Thumb-2 mode on the 4.6.1 release.
