Hi,
I don't have Linux to test with at the moment but for Windows it works with no errors.
Can you try to import one of the working example on the Linux SDK instead of creating a new project?
You can download the Linux SDK from here https://www.ti.com/tool/SIMPLELINK-CC32XX-SDK
Then simply follow the user guide and import a project into the workspace.
This is also the recommended way since there might be other configurations in next steps (and it can serve as a reference as well).

Shlomi
Hello,
Device-id 'CC3220SF' is not recognized
CC32xx is not supported by CCS 20.
See: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/CCSv20/CCS_20_0_0/exports/CCS_20.0.0_ReleaseNote.htm (Limitations and Known Issues)
However I do find it misleading to be able to select CC32xx in the filter fields. I will make a note of this for something to address in a future release.
Thanks
ki
Well, I connected a CC1310 Launchpad, I can see that CCS recognizes it and let me create a project for it.
Tried any other board and got the error that device-id is not found. Looks like CCS does not let you create a project without a board attached.
Am I wrong?
I will make a note of this for something to address in a future release.
I filed a ticket for this. Tracking link: https://sir.ext.ti.com/jira/browse/EXT_EP-12040
Well, just got a CC3200SF Launchpad board. Plug it in, CCS can see it alog with the CC1310 (see pic).
Tried to create a project, selected CC3200SF Launchpad, and it says Device0id CC3200SF not recognized.
Look, I'm evaluating wireless chips for my product. I wanted to give TI a chance, but you're not making it easy right now.
Very frustrating and disappointed.
Does this mean the CC3200 chip/launchpad is no longer supported?
CC32xx is not supported with CCS 20. CC13xx is still supported.
Does CCS not allow project creation without a valid device atached?
You don't need a hardware target attached. But CCS must have project support for the device and that is not supported in CCS 20.
I'd much prefer the old version of CCS.
Please stay with CCS 12.x if using CC32xx.
Thanks
ki

CCS 12.8.1 is the latest version that fully supports CC32xx. Please use this version.
Does CC32XX chip still supported, or should I go with something else?
I like CC1310, but I need wireless chip with TFT screen support. My understanding is that CC1310 does not have enough resource (RAM) to support the screen buffer. Is there any TI sub Ghz chip that can support a color TFT screen?
Does CC32XX chip still supported, or should I go with something else?
It is an older device. For new designs it is probably recommended to go with a newer device. I would create a new thread for the device experts regarding recommendations (my expertise is for the tools, not the device).
