Tool/software:
Hi there,
I installed CCS 20.0.0 today and found it is based on Theia. That's great since I am pretty familiar with VS Code. But the first thing I noticed is the IDE is very slow to launch. It takes about 55 seconds before I can navigate projects and open files. My computer is MacBook Pro with Apple M1 silicon and the latest macOS.
Is it normal with current CCS version?
Robert.
Hello Robert,
Is it normal with current CCS version?
Yes, this is (unfortunately) normal with running on macOS with Mx silicon. It is something we hope to improve in future release.
Thanks
ki
Hi Ki,
Thank you for the confirmation.
Hope it can be fixed in the near future.
Robert.

Thanks for the link.
Is this issue related to Rosetta?
I think it should be better to provide a dedicated (ARM instruction based) CCS version for running on Apple silicon.
