CODECOMPOSER: theia 20.01 active bar

Part Number: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software:

 Hi,

In VScode, if you right click with the mouse on the left active bar where there is no icon
A menu to configure the display of Explorer, Search, Source Control, etc. comes up.
In Theia, however, right-clicking brings up nothing.
If I right-click on an icon and press close to clear the icon
How do I make the icon visible again?
I would like to return the attached figure right to the left.
Also, how do I register a new icon?

Best regards, Isao

  • Hello,

If I right-click on an icon and press close to clear the icon
How do I make the icon visible again?

Open the view. In your example, you closed the "Source Control" view. Hence, go to "View -> Open View..." and select "Source Control" in the list. This will open the Source Control view and the icon will return in the left Active Bar.

Also, how do I register a new icon?

Drag and drop the tab of the desired view to Primary Side Bar. This will place the view in the Primary Side Bar area and create an icon for the view in the left Active bar.

    Thank you

  • Thank you for your repeated replies.

I now understand how to use the Activity Bar.
As for this, it is not compatible with VScode, but
I am using VScode in the Python environment.
I think it will be easier to use if the compatibility is further improved.

    Best regards, Isao
