Uniflash: Uniflash does not reset CC2340 after flashing

Tool/software:

Uniflash version: 8.8.1

Hardware: LP-XDS110ET + LP-EM-CC2340R5

I am trying to have the CC2340 running after flashed by Uniflash, I checked the "Execute selected reset after program load" and the "Run Target After Program Load/Flash Operation" boxes, but the program is still not running after being flashed. The red light on XDS110 keeps on after the program is loaded, it seems Uniflash is still holding the target.

I have tried both reset options(with and without HIB) but it does not make a difference. The "Reset Now" button does not work either. The only way to get the program running is by pressing the reset button on XDS110 board.

Why does Uniflash not reset the device after programming? Is there a way to solve this?

Hello Shuyang,

I see you chose the device reset option. Do you have other reset types available - specifically a board reset one?

No, only Device Reset available on CC2340.

Note that there is a UniFlash version 9.0. Can you try this version? I don't know if it will address you issue but it is always good to try the latest first.

I have been experimenting with this today and I agree with your assessment. Regardless of what options I select in UniFlash (such "Run Target After Program Load/Flash Operation"), the target appears halted in some way. When I shut down UniFlash GUI, the target starts to run again (confirmed with a simple program that blinks the LED). I assume you see this too.

If I flash using UniFlash CLI, there is no issue.
