CODECOMPOSER: Unable to get MSPEXP430FR2355 to work in Windows on MacBook via Parallels

Tool/software:

I successfully got CCS to install on my MacBook via Parallels (has to be Parallels due to certain commands required for my class, like UART transmission, not working in the native Mac app).

However, I cannot get the MSP device to work in the app. Every time I try to debug a code, I get the "No USB FET was found." error message, even though I have the "MSP Tools Driver" selected under USB devices in the Parallels emulation.

Can anyone help me with this?

Please note that this is not an officially supported environment by CCS. Hence the support we can provide will be limited.

That said, some people have used CCS successfully in such an environment. But I do recall past reports of issues with the MSP430 debug connection.

I will bring this thread to the attention of the MSP430 experts who support the MSP430 connection.
