CCSv5.1 Error

I have a customer experiencing the following issue. They are running under Windows 7. They have reinstalled Windows 7 and CCSv5.1 with no success.

"I am using Code Composer Studio v5.1. I have imported a project from v4.2. The imported project compiles fine, but the linker is failing. The runtime support library used in v4.2 was rts430xl.lib. This library does not seem to be available in v5.1. During compilation a message appears saying that an attempt will be made to make the file, but a failure occurs with the message: Error extracting rtssrc.zip, file not found error."

Hi Tim,

I am first going to ask for a touch more detail to try and help here. Are there different code generation tool versions involved? What import options were selected? Was it an RTSC project?

I don't know the specifics. I'll have to ask. Is there a way to build the runtime support library manually? If so, can you provide the exact steps?

Hi Tim,

I can look into it, but doubt that is the best solution.

What do they see in Project->Properties->General ... ..... I see under Advanced Settings on the right Runtime Support Library. Do they see this? Do they have the option here to select the one they need? You can also click the browse button there to grab the version from v4.

I hope this might help with a couple further tips. Please keep us posted.

Help me with an error in CCSv5:

I imported a project that built successfully with CCSv4, but when build it with CCSv5 then I got these error. I don't know why these errors occurred. Please help me!
