CODECOMPOSER: CCS20.1.1 will not install

Part Number: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software:

Hi team,

This is post on customer's behalf.

On MacOS15.4.1 systems, the network connection download phase of installation of the latest CCS20.1.1 was unable to find the server file, which is actually stored in the components folder in the downloaded dmg installation package

Regards

Lydia

  • Hi Lydia,

Just to confirm that the custom is using an Mac with an Mx processor? What kind of security software is running on the customer mac?

    Thanks

    ki

  • I was just able to successfully install CCS 20.1.1 on my macbook m1 air running Sequoia 15.4.1. I will bring this thread to the attention of the installer experts for further investigation.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Before I proceed, I just want to ask if you are doing an incremental update or if you downloaded the full *.dmg image and doing a full install: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/CCSTUDIO/20.1.1

  • HI Ki,

    Thanks for your support.

There is customer's response, please support further , thank you so much.

Sorry, I downloaded the full installation package again to install the same problem, my computer environment is the MacBook Pro2021 on the M1 Pro chip. The puzzling point is why you still need to connect to a TI server to download the content after you have downloaded the full installation package?

    Regards

    Lydia

You should not. I just re-installed CCS 20.1.1 on my macBook where I disabled internet access. It installed just fine. I'm not sure why you are getting that dialog regarding downloading the THEIA_ARM component. I will bring this thread to the attention of the installer experts.

  • Lydia,

Please ask the customer to check if there is an install log (ccs_install_20.1.1.00008.log) in the <install location>/ccs/install_logs/ or installbuilder_installer.log in /tmp. If they can find the log, please attach it to this thread.

    Thanks,

    Michael
