CCS 5.1 custom installation failed

Hi All,

I have tried to install CCS 5.1.0.09000 (node locked single user license) using the web installation procedure (running ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.exe) and a "custom setup" since all I need is C6x single core DSP for now but it failed (see the drop from install.log below).

Any hints

    Hi Andrea,

    Have you tried since or redownloading?  (In case of a corrupted download)  Did you try the lite or full installer? Looks like the lite ... have you check your proxy and administrative settings?   What OS are you using?

    If a second attempt also fails, would you be able to send us any dump files, error logs, install jammer directory contents?

    Hi Lisa,

     

    that was the "web installer" Windows (web installer) but I have just donwloaded the Windows (offline installer): I will try that.

    I put a drop from the install log file in my post but I can attach the full log file if this is of any help.

    I use Win XP on a pretty old Pentium 4 PC with 1GB RAM and I have a single user with administrator privilege. I have been using CCS 4.2 FREE LICENSE and I have switched to the non free node locked single user license since I need to use a JTAG emulator now. It seemed to me that it would be best to get the latest CCS 5.1 but of course I could even rool back to 4.2 if this is the only viable solution.

    Hi Lisa,

     

    the full installer Windows (offline installer) works just fine and I am still doing the same "Custom Install" with just C6x + DaVinci.

    In my previous post I had attached the install.log file from the failed setup.
