How to install CCSv5?

I have downloaded CCS5.1.0.090000_linux.tar.gz and extracted the files but when I try to run ccs_setup_5.1.0.090000.bin using the steps in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:CCSv5_installation I get "command not found." I have done the chmod 777 but both ccs_setup_5.1.0.090000.bin on ubuntu 11.10 with and without sudo causes "command not found." What step am I missing?

  • Hello,

    try:

    > sudo .\ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin

    Thanks

    ki

  •

    The response to

    $ sudo .\ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin

    is

    $ sudo: .ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin: command not found

    The response to

    $ sudo ./ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin

    is

    $

    The response to

    $ sudo ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin

    is

    $ sudo: ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin: command not found

  • According to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Host_Support

    As there are many versions and distributions of Linux, we are not able to test and support every flavor. For the time being, the team is using Ubuntu 10.04/10.10 (32-bit), Ubuntu 10.10 (64-bit) and SUSE 11 32-bit for testing purposes.

    So I installed 10.04 on this HP Pavilion p7-1120 since that was the only older wubi version I could find, but still no success. The only response to

    $ sudo ./ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000.bin

    is still

    $
    Odder still, I was able to get the install started on a different ubuntu 10.04 system that I'd rather not use since the host is an under-powered Atom based PC. Might ccs_setup_5.1.0.09000 be dependent on older hardware?

  • I have a similar problem.

    - Ubuntu 12.10

    - Lenovo Z580 laptop, i7

    - 64b OS

    I have downloaded: CCS5.3.0.00090_linux.tar.gz

    Results of executing the setup bin is ... nothing. It completes very fast with no obvious effect:

    steve@korson05:/data/projects/ccs/CCS5.3.0.00090_linux$ sudo ./ccs_setup_5.3.0.00090.bin
    [sudo] password for steve:
    steve@korson05:/data/projects/ccs/CCS5.3.0.00090_linux$

    Thanks,

    Steve

  • Doh. RTFM.
