spectrumdigital xds560v2 target connect error

This error happened when connecting with SDXDS560v2 STM Lan Emulator.

C66XX_0: GEL Output: Setup_Memory_Map...

C66XX_0: GEL Output: Setup_Memory_Map... Done.

"Error connecting to the target:

(Error -1143 @ 0x0)

Device core was stalled, and recovery was successful. No user action required.

(Emulation package 5.0.492.0)"

What possibly causes this error by?

Target : TCI6618

CCSv5.1.0.08020

gel file : evmc6670l.gel

Thanks, Steve

  • Hi Steve,

The error message is a bit confusing... did it actually connect after initially struggling?

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hi, Ki-Soo.

I don't know the meaning of "struggling".

but when I connected with a EVM board (via blackhawk xds560v2 mazzani emulator)

after 2 lines of memory setup, more initialization sequence followed by GEL, after then connected to core.

so I think it never connected to target at this time and it repeated again infinitely.

I'm a newbie with TI DSP and CCS environment so I have no clue to solve it.

Is anybody to advise or experiece this?

    Any comment would be welcome.

It would be very precious information for me.

    Thanks, Steve.

Can you provide this gel file to me?

Note that you are using a pre-release build of CCS. You may want to upgrade to the release (5.1.0.09000)

    Thanks

  • Hi, Ki-Soo,

    I solved this problem.

DSP's boot mode was Ethernet boot mode, so it happened.

It connected normally after boot mode was changed to "none boot mode"

    Thanks for your concerning.

    Best regards, Steve.
