CCSV5.1 License Problem with 6678 EVM

Hi,

I have the 6678 EVM, and the last few versions of CCS V5.1 have not worked with the licence file that came with the EVM (neither linux nor windows) , so I have been using the evaluation licence that you published on the CCSv5 web page that is valid until December 31.  It is now telling me that it expires in 17 days. What do I do then?

(I am now running  Version: 5.1.0.09000)

Regards,

Bernard

  • Hi Bernard,

CCS will not bother looking for another license or doing anything while the evaluation license is still valid.  So there is not much aside from reinstalling and cleaning the license information in between.

My best suggestion is to wait the 17 days and hopefully you will then be able to select the free bundle license.  Alternatively once the trial expires you can go try Help->Code Composer Studio Licensing INformation.

If not, please feel free to contact us again and or reinstall CCS - latest production version of 5.1.

    I hope this will help.

    Best Regards,

    LIsa

  • Hi Lisa,

The only reason I am using the evaluation license is becuase I can't use the license that came with the EVM.  It used to be OK up until about three months ago. Since then I have done a clean install of the last three versions of CCSv5 you have released on both Linux and Win7, and in each case CCS it has reported the license to be invalid.  But you have answered my question. It's not expected behaviour.  I will do a clean install and get back with the details of the problem.

    Thanks for your help,

    Bernard

  • Hi Bernard,

I thought I would check whether there is an update to your enquiry.  Did the clean install help things?
