LP-MSPM0L2228: EnergyTrace Without Debug Mode [CCS 20.2.0]

Part Number: LP-MSPM0L2228
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGYTRACE

Tool/software:

Hello,

We have a low power MSPM0 application averaging 10 µA of current. In the Eclipse-based CCS, we were able to use EnergyTrace without entering debug mode to measure accurate low power consumption. In the latest CCS, it seems EnergyTrace only works in debug mode, which results in current measurements of 1–5 mA, instead of the actual low power values.

Is there a way to run EnergyTrace in standalone mode (without debug) in the new CCS, similar to the old Eclipse version?
Currently, the trace options are not clickable outside of debug mode (see attached pictures).

Thank you!
