LAUNCHXL-F28P65X: SysConfig is Crashing with Exception "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'setShowUserLongDescPref')"

Hi Rob,

I'm not sure if that SysConfig exception is related to the Clock Tree warning. Let me loop in the SysConfig team to help analyze the root cause.

When I build a SysConfig project (with sysconfig-1.24 and C2000Ware 5.05), I don't have any build issues. Do you have issues only when you add the "Device Support" module and/or suppress the warning?

Hi Matt,

I just got it to happen one more time.  Not sure what sequence causes it to happen.  I think I removed the "Device Support", did a "Save All", then clicked on SYSTEM | GPIO in the SysConfig tree, then I got the exception box.  I have tried to retrace my steps but have not been able to recreate it a second time today.

I have tried adding and removing the "Device Support", but that does not seem to create the exception.

Why when I add the "Device Support" the following warning does not go away?  Is there something else I need to do?

I think this may be a bug in SysConfig in tandem with the C2000WARE SDK. We'll file a bug and will resolve soon

That's a default warning in SysConfig that pops up on start-up regardless of the 'Device Support' module being added or not. You can click on "Suppress" to remove the warning.

To clarify clicking suppress causes a crash which is the issue.

I don't believe that is the case. Rob can correct if I'm understanding this incorrectly.

So this is very strange. I just did it without fail and then later it did crash for me. I think we need to pinpoint the correct sequence which causes the crash.
