CCS3.3 XDS510USB and TMS320F240

Hi,

We are having the same problem with programming the TMS320F240 via the XDS510USB and CCS3.3 that was questioned on one of the posts. As the advise we'd had was that this combination should work O.K., and the nearest I can determine from the post responses is that we need to use an older version of CCS - is this so? And if so, can we get the older version somehow please?

Many thanks in advance,

Rory.

  • Rory,

CCS 3.3 does have support for F24x and XDS510USB so you should be fine with that version. Newer versions starting with CCSv4 do not support F24x.

What type of problems are you having with CCS 3.3?

  • Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. First I should note that I have come in to a company that had, some time ago, used the 510PP emulator to program the F240 - or so I am advised! All staff have since left...

We are getting several different errors, from advise that the F240 is in the wrong mode - the relevant pin has been checked, and is in the correct state - to advise that the processor ID is not recognised (sometimes 0010, and other times 4010), to not being able to switch to realtime mode. If needed, I can get a copy of the exact errors as printed and forward them tomorrow evening.

    Many thanks,

    Rory.
