CCS version check for 320C40 and XDS510.

Hi.

To set up the development environment for SNJ320C40 with XDS510, I use CCS5.0, but there is not C40 processor type in CCS.

Does not support 320C40 in CCS5.0 ? Ist there any method for this development environment ?

Hi,

CCSv5.1 does not support the TMS320C4x family of devices, only the older Code Composer tool (check here).

We'll also purchase XDS510 emulator, but there are many kind of XDS501 version, which is right part number ?

Can XDS510 USB JTAG below linked support C40 ?

Hi,

The list of devices supported by this product does not show C4x, therefore I would be careful in buying this. However, this is listed as a C3x/C4x emulator, therefore I will have to confirm if the information in the product page is correct.

Hi,

Spectrum Digital just confirmed that XDS510PP Plus is the most recommended emulator offered that supports C4x devices. The USB version does not support it.
