Does it work that "save memory" button in memory blowser in CCSv5?

Hi,

I have one question for one function of CCSv5.

I would like to save the content of flash memory(320F2810) to flie. So I used the save memory button of memory blowser.

However, new file was not made in PC folder. CCS message was displayed that "The data will be saved to C:\ti\ccsv5\eclipse\xxxxx.bin".

But I can't find that file. Does this button work correctly? I uses CCS V5.1.

Please advise me.

Hi Michi,

what options/steps did you select when saving the memory? Could you please let us know as it will help try to reproduce this.

I did a very quick test and could save a .dat file to the C: directory, however it was not easy to find. It was there but I only found it by doing a search.

Thank you for your support.

You are right. The file certainly exist. As to your advice, I did search its file. And I found its file.

The folder is c:\ccs5\ccs_base\emulation\analysis, not c:\ccs5\eclipse.

Michi-san,

Since there is a discrepancy between the directory where CCS says it will save the file and where it is actually saved, I have filed a bug report to get this addressed. For your reference, the bug # is SDSCM00042796.

have you seen our debug server scripting?

I believe there should be an example on dumping memory which I hope will help you. The examples are part of the CCS installation under

F:\CCS\RC1\ccsv5\ccs_base\scripting\examples (as an example on one of my installations)
