Hello,

in a project we are using the MSPM0G1518 (LQFP-64) and for firmware development the LP-MSPM0G3519.

When configuring the MCU using the Sysconfig (v1.25.0+4268) in CCS (v20.3.0) the option to assign a pin for outputting the internal reference voltage is missing. The 2.5V is present at PA23/24, though the pin can be configured for use as GPIO, since its not blocked by the VREF peripheral.

In another project we use the MSPM0G1507, where this option is available in the syscfg.

In case VREF still offers the capabilities to deliver a reference voltage to other circuitry this is not a major issue, though it could lead to confusion when configuring pins. But maybe I'm missing something...

Hi,

Select "Internal and External" from the "Mode" drop down, and you should see the option you are looking for.

Hi Matthew,

you're right, this gives me the option to assign PA23 as VREF+, but the pin is than configured as an input, which cannot be changed.

When I understand the datasheet correctly, PA23 has to be assigned to PA23 as soon as VREF is enabled, since even the internal reference requires an external capacitor on this pin.
