I have been trying to profile some code using CCS 20.3.0 and have been running into a case where every time I reset the Profile Clock (in the bottom right status bar) by double clicking, it progressively slows down CCS until its unusable and I must restart the app. This happens progressively, meaning the first few times I reset the clock the effect is not noticeable, but after about 3-7 clock resets, the app noticeably slows down. Interacting with any menu, text window, and even debugging becomes laggy, unresponsive, and eventually unusable. Ending the debug session does not fix this issue, neither does disconnecting the debugger from the PC.
I have seen this behavior on TMS320F280041, TMS320F28051, and TMS320F28054. I am using a Blackhawk XDS200 probe. I have had this happen to me in 20.2 and possibly earlier versions of CCS 20.x, though I am needing to use this feature more, and it has become a major headache.
Is there any known fix for this? I have not found anything from my searches. Thanks.
