Extra .ept suffix on the EP trace output file

Hi all,

The EP trace function of the release version of CCS v5.1 creates a trace file with an extra ".ept" suffix on it. The M7 beta version create the file named: <program_name>_core<N>.ept. The release version creates a file named: <program_name>_core<N>.ept.ept. Please fix this.

It seems your thread was overlooked; sorry about that.

I can't seem to reproduce this on CCSv5.1.0.09000. What is exactly the simulator and the procedure you are following? I am simply enabling EP trace directly on the scripting console (according to this page) and no duplicate extensions were found. Check the attached screen.

Whoops, sorry I didn't mention that I'm using the linux version of the 5.1 release. I am also using the DebugServer with DSS in a batch or command mode.
