Inconsistent Version indication

Hi all,

I am having a strange problem with the version information on my CCS installation. When I check the version via "Help->About Code Composer Studio" it tells me the version is 4.2.3.00004. However if I check the version via "Help->Software Update->Manage configuration" I get the version is 4.2.4.00033. What is correct now??

Hello Andreas,

that is odd and something I do not see on my installation. Try running an update (service release 4.2.4.00005 is available). See if after things look consistent and keep us updated.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for responding. I don't want to upgrade my installation, since we do have different licences all running on the same version (should be 4.2.3.00033) to be compatible between the different installations. Any other suggestions?

Hi Andreas,

If you go to back to the Help->About ... would you be able to click on configuration details, copy it to the clipboard (there's a button) and send it to us?

Hi Andreas,

it does seem like you update might not have been successful. The time stamp at the end of the update listings goes back to 4.2.3 build 4.

You could try doing an update once again. You could unfortunately also try a reinstallation.

Hi Lisa,

I reverted the installation via "Help->Software Updates->Manage configurations->replace with anoter version" to 4.2.3.00004, and updated it subsequently to 4.2.4.00033. This procedure was successfull, and I have a consistent version installed now. Thank you for helping
