CCS5.1 emulator failure: The controller has detected a cable break far-from itself

Having upgraded from CCS 5.0.3 to 5.1.0.09 today, I can no longer connect to my TMDXEVM6670L EVM board via usb.

Firstly I got a build error for my Target Configuration File so I deleted it and created a new one.

Now I get error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -183 @ 0x0)
The controller has detected a cable break far-from itself.
The user must connect the cable/pod to the target.
(Emulation package 5.0.520.0)

Any suggestions please?

The failing target configuration file was built for 'TI XDS100v2 USB' emulation. I recreated it using 'TI XDS100v1 USB' emulation. It now works ok.

Hi!

I have met the same problem of connection. i used the solution proposed by David. I replaced the configuration of 'TI XDS100v2 USB' emulation by 'TI XDS100v1 USB' emulation. Now It works ok.
