Hello,
I downloaded CCS5.1 and tried to install to my PC, but I got an error: Error Registering com.ti.ccstudio.ide.win32 feature.
My OS: windows XP
Tried custom installation (MCU only) and Full features installation (MCU + DSP), and got the same error. Here are the log files:

Can you please tell me how to fix the problem? Thanks
QJ
Hi QJ,
Did you try the lite or full installer?
If the lite installer (which it seems given the message) could you please try the full installer?
If it was actually the full installer, could you please make sure you have administrator priveleges, unzip the file first, and please send the contents of your install jammer registry (not a bad idea anyhow)
Please keep us informed.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I tried lite and full. I downloaded and unzipped, then run installation. I am installing CCS5 to the default folder on my PC: c:\ti\ccs5
What do you mean install jammer registry?
Regards,
QJ
Hi QJ,
I mean the install jammer directory, sorry.
Let me see if I can get someone here to help digest the logs for you. It almost seems like it is trying to look for something at a site it can not reach.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi QJ,
As mentioned, for us the most useful files are actually the install jammer directory contents. There is not much feedback we can provide before looking at these except it is possible your zip file is missing a couple things.
We would like to help and investigate this with you. Please keep us informed.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
I solved the problem by re-downloading the whole thing. Thanks
Regards,
QJ
Hi Qj,
ok, very glad to hear it was only a corrupted download from the sounds of it. Thanks for the update and all the best.
Best Regards,
Lisa
