Memory Browser in CCSV5

I just moved from CCSV4 to CCSV5. The memory browser will not show the memory of the MSP430F2232 that is attached to the USB FET.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

The memory browser will allow for Save, Load, and Fill memory, but all the other buttons are grayed out.

Hi Tim,

would you be able to provide a few more specifics and perhaps even a couple screenshots?

- I assume from your post, this was working for you as expected in v4?

- is this only happening with one workspace/project? Only with imported projects?

Lisa,

Yes this was working correctly in V4. I have created a new project, not imported one, so I would assume that the settings are all default.

I have the debugger set to "Disable all high level optimization"

I have attached a screen shot showing the memory viewer. The only things I can do with it right now is Save, Load, and Fill memory.

This version of software is licensed under the code size limit, but that should not affect the use of the memory browser, correct?

Tim,

Try entering an address in to the text box and clicking enter and see if it does anything.

Such a simple solution...

That did the trick, now I can see the memory.

You might want to enter that as a bug to the SW engineers. Probably just a start up condition.

You might also want to know that when resizing the window the refresh is glitchy. I am using Hex 8bit - C Style Hex view and when I resize it the labels for some of the arrays goes away. This is not a major problem for me, but you might want someone to look at it.
