Hi,

I have LogicPD AM3517 running with WinCE and that works out ok. I am familiar with DSP C674x/CCS3.3/XDS100v1 from previous product line. I would like to try the new SYSBIOS6 on the AM3517 EVM therefore downloaded the CCS5 trial. My questions are:

1. DSP/BIOS has been working for the DSPs very well. How is this SYSBIOS6 working on the Sitara Cotex-A8 AM3517/AM3505? Is there any problem that I should aware?

2. From Wiki and TI websites, XDS100v2 JTAG emulator should work with LogicPD EVM. However in CCS 5.1.0.09000 target configuration, when I selected "Connection: Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Emulator" I can only see "Board or Device: AM335x, AM1705 or AM1808" but not the AM3517/AM3505. Am I missing something?

I will try to attach my screen dump on the target set up.

Dennis,

On the CCS Download page (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS) if you look under device support files there is a package for Sitara which will add in the files so that AM3517 and AM3505 show up in the setup tool.

I am not sure on the status of BIOS for the A8 on AM35xx. If you post a question on the BIOS forum they should be able to help you.

Thanks, John. I installed the device support file for Sitara and I got AM3517 on the target list.
