CCS 5.1.0.09000 just keeps rebuilding

I am using EKS-LM4F232 to evaluate CSS vs IAR.  This EKS ships with CCS v4.x.  I thought it was best to evaluate CCS v5.x as this is likely the future for CCS.  We few issues, I was able to port in my helloworld project into CCS 5.x from CCS 4.x.  I had a one issues though that is a show-stopper

On the first build without errors, it just kept rebuilding.  I had to kill CCS and restart.  After this I pressed the debug button.  The EKS was reset and apparently the FLASH erased.  But CCS, in the background, was again rebuilding repeatedly, so the fresh code was not downloaded.

I hope this is some artifact of the v4.x to v5.x migration. 

Has anybody seen this problem and if so, what is the fix?

Is there a migration link?  I looked at a few, but this issue was not addressed.

    After stopping CCS and restarting a second time, the debugger seems to be working as expected.

    I still would like to know what the "rebuild ad nauseum" issue is about.

    Hi John,

    That is odd.   Have you tried a fresh workspace and reimport?  Does this only happen on the one project or workspace? 

    Do you get any errors or logs?  Could you please send any dump files (.dmp) or error logs for us to evaluate?  There is information on the generation and location of these here

    CCS is again rebuilding ad nauseum.  It started when I changed then saved a file.

    Hi John,

    could you be a bit more detailed?  Do you have administrator priveleges?  Are you using the Program Files directory?  We have seen occassional issue with this.  Could you send any error logs etc generated?

    I tried a new workspace and re-importing the projects.  I have successfully compiled-started debugger-hit breakpoint.  Then I ended the CSS session, restarted CSS, opened the new workspace and again successfully compiled-started debugger-hit breakpoint.

    Initially I recall going through the same process without much issue.  The main issue I had was that the referenced libraries needed their paths re-entered and a path variable to StellarisWare was created again.

    I do not recall needing to redeclare the include paths or any other steps when I created the CSS v4 projects.

    I will mark this as answered.
