CCSTUDIO-THEIA: Product usage

Part Number: CCSTUDIO-THEIA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2432

Hi experts,

we have a software consisting of several projects for AM2432 using CCS 20.4 and Motor Control SDK 9.2.0.12. We use to have the project files in the GIT repository, to transport the settings between the team members. In each project's preferences, we have the product "MOTOR_CONTROL_SDK_AM243x".

Recently, a new colleague joined the team. His CCS was looking for a product named "com.ti.MOTOR_CONTROL_SDK_AM243x", which was not available. We noticed that is the way it is written in the .cproject file - which did not bother us until now.

To fix the problem on the new colleague's CCS, we changed the product to "MOTOR_CONTROL_SDJ_AM243x". This was OK for him, but when we pushed his settings into GIT, the others could not work with this version. The project's preferences looked like:

The only difference I can imagine is that the new colleage has only installed the newest components on his PC, while the others have a bit of history starting from CCS 12 + mcu_plus_sdk 8.

Is this a known problem? We need to fix this urgently such that we can work on the same database.

  • Hello,

Where did your new colleague download the SDK from? Was it from Resource Explorer or was it manually downloaded from ti.com? Where did you get it from? I suspect a different method where the ids are different.

    Thanks
