diagnostics keeps failling

Hey

after I install the TMS320C6416 T DSK software on my PC (32-bit  windows XP), I am trying the diagnostics but it keeps on failing on the first step.

The USB diagnostics fails while everything was successfully installed.

Please help.

    Stephie,

    When you say USB diagnostics, are you talking about the JTAG emulator diagnostics or something else?

    Are you able to use the USB cable to connect with CCS and do emulation?

    This question is on the emulation and not the DSP, so the right place for this is in the E2E Code Composer Forum. I will get someone to move this thread there.

    There were two questions in my first post. Are you able to use Code Composer at all?

    Try the following:

    1. Unplug the USB cable.
    2. Power cycle the DSK.
    3. Reboot the PC.
    4. Plug in the USB cable.
    5. Try the diagnostics again.

    I think you should see an enumeration message box in the bottom-right corner of your PC screen when this first begins. Does that box appear with a progress bar and then go away?
