I've created a batch file the variables above and have been running the app and monitoring via putty. So far, I've been unable to reproduce the hang with it running with this mode also. I'll keep testing as time permits.

One thing that seems strange is the the LMFlash utility takes about 5/10 seconds to load the firmware and boot. Launching a debug session in CCS take about 30 seconds to load and enter debug mode. Does this seem normal for a LM3S8962 part?

I can send you debug log file I managed to capture via putty if you like.

    Hi Robert,

    Could you please provide a bit more information for us to figure out if this debug slowness is normal or not.

    How long exactly does it take to load?  Would you be able to time it?

    What speed/type of PC do you use?

    Does it go faster if you disable logging?

    How fast are the individual steps?  (Launch of CCS, compilation, debugger launch, connecting to the target, loading the program)  These last three can be measured via a log as well.
