CCS v5.1 install does nothing on Ubuntu 11.10

Nothing happens when I try to install CCS v5.1 no Ubuntu 11.10

I also tried ccs_setup_5.1.0.06000.bin from the DVD that came with my SD XDS560v2 STM but still nothing happened.

Hi Bruce,

Please note that I am running on a Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit machine. Is that OK?

I just found, a page ( http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Linux_Host_Support ) that reports TI Labs only have Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit running.

Is it a definite no go on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit?

Hi Bruce,

have a look at these instructions. 64 should be ok if you have all dependecies taken care of and the 32 bit support package installed.

I may save you some trouble. If you plan to develop using the MSP430, don't bother with the install. The Linux version of CCS does not support the MSP430.

I thought I would check whether there is any update here? It is true the MSP430 is not supported at this time.
