TMS320F2810: Request for Code Composer Studio v7 and C2000 Compiler Support for TMS320F2810

Hi TI Support Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am currently working with the TMS320F2810 DSP and using Code Composer Studio (CCS) Version 7. I would like to request your assistance with obtaining the appropriate software and compiler support for this device.

At the moment, I am facing issues installing the C2000 (C28x) compiler through the CCS App Center, as the installation fails during the package download process. Because of this, I am unable to proceed with compiling my project.

I would appreciate your support with the following:

  • Direct download link or offline installer for Code Composer Studio v7 (if applicable)

  • Offline installer or package for the C2000 (C28x) compiler compatible with CCS v7

  • Any required legacy device support packages for TMS320F2810 (such as controlSUITE or header/device files)

  • Guidance on setting up the environment to successfully generate the .out file and convert it to a .hex file

My application requires compiling firmware and generating output files for flashing the DSP via CAN.

Device Details:

  • DSP: TMS320F2810

  • IDE: Code Composer Studio v7

  • Requirement: Build project → generate .out → convert to .hex

Please let me know if any additional details are required from my side.

    Any specific reason why you are using the legacy device F2810?

    Hi,

    I tried installing the standalone C2000-CGT compiler, but the build is still failing.

    The current errors are related to missing legacy F281x support files, especially:

    • DSP281x_Device.h

    • IQmathLib.h

    Could you please provide the correct F281x/TMS320F2810 device support package or the exact download link for these files?

    Also, could you confirm the recommended setup for this legacy project, including:

    • CCS version

    • C2000-CGT compiler version

    • F281x device support/header files

    • IQmath include/library files

    • Any required linker command files or startup assembly files

    We are using the F2810 because this is an existing legacy hardware platform, and our goal is to rebuild the firmware, generate the .out file, and convert it to .hex for programming.

    C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f281x is not present.

    Because of this, I am getting build errors such as:

    fatal error: cannot open source file "DSP281x_Device.h"

    I understand this is a legacy device. Could you please provide:

    1. F281x device support package (headers and examples)

    2. Compatible IQmath library for F281x

    3. Any recommended compiler/toolchain version for this device

    I am trying to generate a .out and .hex file for an existing firmware.
