Tools -> System Analyzer not available

Hello,

I had to reinstall the CCS. No I'm not able to get the System Analyzer via Tools -> System Analyzer in the Debug View.

Setup is as follows:
-OS is Windows 7
-CCS 5.1.0.09000
-Bios MCSDK 2_00_05_17 installed

I've checked the following things:
-In CCS -> Help -> About -> Installation Details -> Installed Software -> UIA 1.0.3.25 is installed
-Trying the Tutorial 1 for SystemAnalyzer:
-Checked UIA-Target for XDC-Tools in Products and Repositories
-Used Target elf.C66 and Platform evm6678 and Build-profile Debug

Using the Tutorial or my own example, I'm not able to get the System Analyzer; before reinstalling CCS, everything worked fine.

Bernd,

There is a known compatibility issue between CCS 5.1 and MCSDK which may be what you are running into. Please see this post for details.

In your case, I think you should uninstall and reinstall MCSDK with the MCSA option disabled.

Hello,

this is exactly the solution. Sorry for this reproduced theme, but I havn't found the other thread.
I think this incompatibility has come with the version 2_5_0_0_X because with the older version
(4_0_0_36 or something) everything has worked.

Bernd,

To clarify, installing MCSDK to CCS5.1 with System Analyzer selected will break CCS 5.1 System Analyzer (System Analyzer included is MCSDK is older and not compatible with CCS 5.1). This can be corrected by re-installing CCS 5.1 (not MCSDK).

Hello Imtaz,

yes you're right. I just deinstalled MCSDK AND CCS and reinstalled both (MCSDK without MCSA), now it works.

Glad to hear that you got this working. Btw, just reinstalling CCS should be sufficient ... no need to reinstall MCSDK.
