Code Composer Studio and DSS

Hello,

I was looking for the link to download the DSS tool for CCS V4 and V5 but I could not find out where to download it.  My end goal is to use DSS standalone so that I can and build CCS projects in a stand-alone environment for my production line.  Is DSS the best way to do this?  I have started to play with the internal scripting language in CCS and I believe DSS is a stand-alone version that does not have to be run in CCS but can run the same command set.  Any thoughts on where to download DSS would be appreciated.  If there are not long-term plans to support this I would also like to know this as well.

If there are good examples out there of how to take an output file and program it to a board, that is my end goal.

Sincerely,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

if you have CCS, then you already have DSS and support for it.

Have a look at this tree (may be slightly different for you) in your installation

    C:\CCS\5_1_009\ccsv5\ccs_base\scripting

Have a look at the wiki topics listed here as well:

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Jason,

by the way, I meant to mention, there is also an examples folder in that directory, and yes dss will allow you to do many things from the command line without having to launch CCS.

Please keep us informed if this helps and gets you started.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
