F29H859TU-Q1: Where does CCS find the value for the variable ProjName

Hello,

I created a project in CCS named, let's say, TOTO.

I did a copy of TOTO in a new folder and want it to become TITI.

I searched TOTO in all the files where I copied the project and replaced TOTO by TITI.

I also renamed the files TOTO.theia-workspace and TOTO__syscfg.syscfg.

But, eventhough there is no trace anymore in any file of TOTO, CCS still shows "Folder: TOTO" and ProjName is still equal to TOTO.

1/ Where does CCS find the name of the project ?

2/ Why isn't this information stored in one of the files in the CCS project ?

Hi Ronan,

Those steps right to me. After renaming the necessary files and folder, you may delete any older .map, .out, etc. files that have the name of the older project as well. Try reloading CCS, if possible. I will connect you to the CCS experts for further experts.

It is in one of the project metadata files (.*project). Likely .project itself

You'll likely need to clear the workspace cache to everything resyncs:

In the future to copy a project I would suggest right clicking on it in CCStudio and selecting "Duplicate". This will allow you to create a copy and change the name of the new one. It takes case of making sure everything in the project files is updated.

This is because you are working with a multi-root workspace environment where one the "roots" is actually your project folder. You will not be able to rename/duplicate the project in these cases:

I assume when importing the project, you selected "Import projects at their original locations", hence adding the project folder as another "root" in the IDE.

I don't know who created this project/workspace, I just got a zip file that I am using to create multiple projects by copy.

Thank you for the information, I will look into them to see how we should create projects.
