CODECOMPOSER: CCS TI Compiler x8.5.0.LTS -- can we configure CCS project to also generate coff file?

Hello,

We are using the CCS TI Compiler x8.5.0.LTS. can we configure to also generate coff file? if so how? When we tried to select output format of COFF, we could not save this option and rebuild on CCS GUI like we can with i.e., elf option. Is there another way to generate a COFF file with CCS?

Hello,

Please see section 1.4 of the compiler user's guide:

COFF object files are not supported in v8.0 and later versions of the TI Code Generation Tools. If you would
like to produce COFF output files, please use v7.4 of the Code Generation Tools and refer to SPRU186 for
documentation.

It looks like you will have to use v7.x.
