TMS320F28379S: project files

Hi,
customer uses CCS v21 and their own make files. He generates .elf output.
Which project files (.ccsproject, .cporject, .project, .settings. out) are still needed and needs to be stored in version control?
Which are used by the debugger?

CCS debugger uses

.elf (or .out) file - The executable loaded into device memory containing code + debug symbols .This is the primary file the debugger needs.

.ccxml target configuration file - Specifies the device (TMS320F28379S) and debug probe connection. Must be set as "Active" in the targetConfigs folder for the debug session to launch correctly
