Wittensteins SafeRTOS WHIS Plugin for ECLIPSE does not work with CCS5

Hello,

Wittensteins SafeRTOS WHIS Plugin for ECLIPSE does not work with CCS5.

Answer form Wittenstein :
Unfortunately, the WHIS StateViewer for Eclipse is not compatible with Code Composer Studio. It seems that TI use their own proprietary interface for
interrogating variables at run-time that we are unable to hook into.

Is there a similiar tool to WHIS from TI available that works for Concerto ?
Best regards,
Mario
  • Mario,

In the past CCS was using a modified version of Eclipse so a number of plug-ins wouldn't work.  With CCSv5 we are using stock Eclipse so there is full API compatibility.  We had someone else report that the plug-in didn't work a while ago and we contacted Wittenstein to see what was going on.  Communication died though and we haven't gotten anywhere with them.  Do you have a contact there that you could share?  With CCSv5 there is nothing proprietary about how we access variable, we are even using the stock Eclipse Variables and Expressions view and they function fine.

For Concerto there is a similar tool from TI but it supports the SYS/BIOS OS only.

    Regards,

    John
