  • Hello,

can you please provide further details.

-is this from a fresh installation?  If so which version and did you use the lite or full installer?  Would you please zip and send the contents of your installjammer registry directory (under program files or program files (x86).

-what do you mean by click on direct access?  Do you mean the CCS icon?

    Any further information will help.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hello Lisa,

    I repply your questions, Lisa:

These are a fresh installation and the version is Code COmposer v5.1.1 offline instalation with full installer. Now I don't  have a contents installjammer registry directory, but in a several hours I'm gonig to send you.

When Oscar  says  the click direct access is CCS icon on the desktop.

Oscar has Windows XP, but I have Windows 7. And I have the same problem than Oscar.

I had updated java version, because I  thought it could be java version.

     Thank you for your time.

    Best regards,

    Raul

  • Hi Raul,

the best thing for us to help debug is the contents of your installjammer registry directory.  So please send that.  It can be found under Program Files or Program Files(x86).

EG, mine is C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallJammer Registry

Also could you please make sure you are not trying to install into the program files directory or into a directory with accented characters.

So do you get errors during installation?  Do the problems start the first time you try to run CCS?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Ok, I'm gonig to send you my installjammer registry directory as soon as possible, but now I am not in the same PC.

I had errors in the end of the installation. And I have a lot of log files, every try to start CCS.

Never I could to run the CCS.

    Best Regards,

    Raul

  • 3250.InstallJammer Registry.rar

    There is my InstallJammer-Registry.rar file.

    Best Regards,

    Raul

  • Hi Raul,

we took a look at your logs and determined the problem is that the installer does not handle special/accented characters and you are installing into a directory with an accented character.

Please try a different directory with no special characters and keep us informed.  (IE install to C:\ti)

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Dear Lisa,

The CCS has been installed into (C:\ti) since the first installation. You could see in the attach file.

  • Hi Raul,

I suspect equipo has the accent ...  please double check.  We did find one in the installation logs.

    Best Regards,
    LIsa

  • Raul,

The directory from where you are running the installer has accented characters, which is what is causing an issue.

According to the log file, this is the directory where you have downloaded and are running the installer from:
    C:\Users\Raúl\Downloads\CCS5.1.1.00031_win32\ccs_setup_5.1.1.00031.exe

Please save the .exe and run it from a directory without any accented characters.

  • Hi Raul,

sorry, Aarti is correct.  Sorry I should have specified the directory where the installer itself is.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa

I couldn´t find my InstallJammer Registry,  I don´t know if it is because I don´t have program files, I only have the same folder but with the name in spanish.

Also I verified that I installed in "C:\Archivos de Programa\TI" and I don´t know what is my problem.

    Best regards.  Oscar.

  • Hi Oscar,

the problem is that the .exe installation file is in a directory with accented characters (Aarti specified the directory/where to look).

    Please do the following

    - uninstall

    - move the .exe installation file for CCS (by the way I would actually extremely strongly advise to download the full offline installer)  Make sure there are NO accents.

    - run the installer and install to a directory that does not have accented or special characters.

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    LIsa

  • Hi Oscar,

I just thought I would check whether the tip helped and you have been able to get CCS installed and working.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Yesterday I got to install the program, and ran it!

I think that Raul didn´t get to install the program. Thank you for your help.

    Best regards,

    Oscar
