there was wrong when i active licese in CCS4.2

1/   I want to active license in my CCS V4.2.0, but when I click the Helpàlicensing options from the CCStudio menu bar and then following the onscreen instructions like this:

I heard that this because my internet is disconnection , but the internet connect in my computer is good, and I can visit website , so why I can’t active license in my CCS4.2.0 ?

 

2/  is that the CCS4.2 which not licensed can’t run program? I connect the OMAP-L138 EVM  to my PC with USB cable, and Run Sample Test. Then I can compile the test, and I finishes debugging , but when I run the program by select Target > Run from the menu bar ,the options are gray and can not be click, so is that because my CCS4.2 is not licensed?

    Hi Xunliang,

    Regarding 1 - are you using a server?  Have you had problems connecting before or is this a new setup?  Have you checked that the port used by the license server is not blocked by a firewall or being used by another tool?  Do you use a floating license?  Please provide further details.

    REgarding 2 - yes if you are unlicensed you can compile but not debug.

    Please keep us informed.

        this morning  when i launch the CCS4.2 and click HELP-->Licensing options, then miracle appears, it works. and i  can active license.  but i didn't do anything before, so i am confused. ( in my company, all computers are connect to internet by a server, and the connect is not very good. but yesterday when i attempt to link the license server, i can insure that  i can connect to internet.  and i think it does't matter  with the firewall or  another  tools  because it works this morning in the same situation as tomorrow)

        but  i had  another problem , now my CCS4.2.0  has licensed, and i finished debugging, but when i want to  run  the  program, the options are gray and can't be click, as i said in question 2. the figure below is the attestation. so why it can be this?

    i follow the steps by  <OMAP-L138 EVM User Guide> ,but  i can't  do the same with the last 2 steps, as the  figure shows below, the options "load program" ,"run"......in the Target bar are  gray and can't be click. so i want know why ?

    the question 2 has been solved, that's because i didn't open the debug window, when i open it by select View-->debug, it works, and the options in Target bar are not gray.
