I'm not sure where to put this, so I'm putting it here. Just purchased the MSP430 Launchpad, downloaded the CCS 5.1 file from the wiki, Kaspersky caught a worm (PDM.Worm.P2P.generic). So... Yeah. Am I picking up a false positive maybe?

I'm assuming that's what it was. The exe installer didn't contain anything, but KAS didn't like something it downloaded and installed. I wish I could narrow it down for you, but I selected all of the options to download and install from within the CCS web installer.
I can understand why your anti-virus sw didn't like the exe. The web installer will try to auto download and run various executables from the internet under the hood. The virus sofware would identify such an executable as something to warn you about.
