Hello,
I am migrating a C project from the Eclipse-based CCS 12.x environment to
CCStudio IDE 21.0.
In CCS 12.x, C/C++ code templates could be configured to automatically add
file headers and include guards to newly created .c and .h files.
I tried to implement equivalent functionality in CCStudio IDE 21.0 using a
workspace snippet file:
<workspace>/.vscode/c.code-snippets
The workspace folder is correctly recognized by CCStudio IDE. The snippet file
contains a minimal valid snippet without a language scope:
{
"CCS snippet test": {
"prefix": "ccstest",
"body": [
"/* CCS snippet test */"
]
}
}
The relevant editor settings are enabled:
"editor.tabCompletion": "onlySnippets",
"editor.snippetSuggestions": "top"
However, the snippet is not offered through IntelliSense or expanded using Tab.
The snippet file also shows the following warning:
Problems loading reference 'vscode://schemas/global-snippets':
Unable to load schema from 'vscode://schemas/global-snippets':
Not Found! (768)
Could you please clarify:
1. Does CCStudio IDE 21.0 support user-defined or workspace-level
.code-snippets files?
2. Is .vscode the correct location for workspace snippets?
3. Is there an alternative in CCStudio IDE 21.0 to the C/C++ code templates
available in CCS 12.x?
4. Is the missing vscode://schemas/global-snippets schema a known limitation
or defect?
Best regards
