Can´t uninstall CCS V5

Hi there,

after having problems with updating my CCS, i tried to uninstall my version to install the newest version manually.

But i always getting an error while trying to deinstall:

When trying again to deinstall, the setup always crashes and does nothing.

Are there any solutions for that problem?

Hi Ben,

I would simply delete the installation folder(s) manually, which is what we often do ourselves. Please try that ... it might be a good idea to do the new install into a fresh directory anyhow.

ok I deleted the folder and reinstalled the newest version.
For what i can say right now everything works now.

Hi all,

You can do a clean uninstall of CCS v5 with the help of CCleaner available for free from Periform. open CCleaner, select Tools, and then select the program (CCS v5). Uninstall will be completed in less than 5 minutes.

After uninstallation, run cleaner and registry cleaner to wipe off the residual files in temp folders and keys in registry.

Could it be the slash instead of the backslash in the install or deinstall string?

I had a similar problem where the deinstall woudn't even start. I changed the slashes in the deinstall string for code composer to backslashes in the registry and got a step further. (search for code composer)
