Cannot connect to the device on the F28069 dev board using CCSV5

Hi Wei,

the message means that you are importing a project created with a different code generation tool version (as it states) which you do not have.

You can either migrate the project to a newer one you have in your installation or download that version from here.

You can then install it under Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->Build->Code Generation tools

I run the CCS 5 and have two warnings:

1. Build variable 'XDAIS_CG_ROOT' cannot be resolved.
2. Invalid project path: Include path not found (\packages\ti\xdais)

I don’t know where the 'XDAIS_CG_ROOT' is defined.

Hi Wei,

first please check that you have xdias someone on your computer.  Have a look at this wiki as it has good information on fixing and understanding path and build variables.

I  right click on the Project and select "Add Files"  and I can not get the window

When I run the debug, I get the mssegae "No source available for "sin(void) at 0x3f48a2"

what do you see?  Did you do the checks I mentioned?  Did you create a CCS project?  Can you please provide a bit further information? What kind of project and settings are you using?

I have some problem.  I have updated CCS as well as re-installed Control Suite.  While this has appeared to take care of the error and warning messages I have been seeing, I am not experiencing a source file problem when running the SineFIRFFT32 project, described as

Can't find a source file at "C:\Programming\ActiveDSP\Commros_trunk\Targets\TMS320F28xxx/../../C/commros.c"
Locate the file or edit the source lookup path to include its location.

Hi Wei,

are you able to run and load the code despite the error?  have you tried going to Run->Load->Program?  

You can double check the include paths and options in your project ... have a look at this wiki:

Hi Lisa:

The function ServiceRoutine(&commros);  can not been located.

I use the F26069 processor. But I have to select the Generic C28xx Device. If I select the F28069 device, I get 27 complier errors.

when do you see this message?  Can you please provide details of what you do and information for us to see if we reproduce this?  Did you look at the wiki link and make sure all your paths are correct and input?

CCS is not officially supported under Windows 8, however, we have seen customers use it without issue.
