C5505 download with XDS100 v.2

All:

An update - if the target was running, and I rebuild and reload, then the emulator does NOT go to "main." If target was halted, and I rebuild and reload, the emulatore does go to "main."  Could this be fixed with a gel file change?

Hi Todd,

have you tried looking at the debug settings?  These are under Project->Properies->Debug.

Here you will find options to reset the target on a reload for example.  You will also find a couple other similar options.

Please give that a try and keep us informed.

Thanks for the reply.

Under Auto Run Options, I have "Run to symbol main"  with a check on the box: On a program load or restart.

    On reset - was not checked.

Switching to CCS 5.1.1 AND using a new workspace has taken the frequency of occurance down. However, I still see this occur.

so you see different behaviour with the same settings?  Or is it always if running, you do not run to main?  ie reproducable?

Have a look at the following two debug settings and let us know how it goes.

"reset the target on a connect"

"reset target on a program load or unload"

These are both found in the same place you had a look for me before regarding the other option.
