C2000 XDS510LC and Concerto

Hi,

I posted this question in a different thread, but I'll try here too.

We purchased two Spectrum Digital emulators and we're having a little trouble.  Maybe you can help. The model number is "C2000 XDS510LC", and Spectrum Digital said they were compatible with the Concerto.

Everything seems to be working when I run the SDConfig utility, but not in Code Composer.

We're using Code Composer v4.2.4, and in the target configuration we see "Spectrum Digital C2000 XDS510LC Emulator" listed.  But when we choose this emulator the Concerto device is not listed.  If, however, we choose "Spectrum Digital XDS510USB Emulator" we do see "F28M35H52C1" in the list of devices.  I've tried both choices and neither one works.

Is the C2000 XDS510LC not actually compatible with Concerto, or is there some reason why Code Composer isn't showing it as a compatible device?

Thanks,
Joel

  • Hi Joel,

I split this off into a new thread.

Since Concerto also has an ARM in it, it would not be supported by the C2000 XDS510LC. You will need an emulator that supports both C2000 and ARM - like the standard XDS510USB.

    Thanks

  • Dear Ki,

I´ve got a similar questions about the Concerto devices and the XDS510LC.

I know that the emulator does not work for debugging the concerto devices. However, is it sufficient if only programming the Concerto is needed (by SDFlash)?

    Thanks,
